The FDA has issued a recall regarding green beans produced by Lakeside Foods. These green beans were sold under two labels. The first recalled product are Giant Eagle French Style Green Beans. These green beans can be identified with the UPC code 3003400978 and a Best By date of 9/2017. They are packaged in 16 ounce baes. The second product recalled is Shur fine French Style Green Beans, which can be identified by the UPC code 1116113478 and a Best By date of 9/2017. These green beans were also packaged in 16 ounce bags. There have been no cases of illness associated with this recall.

Listeria monocytogenes infections can be very serious. They usually occur after eating food contaminated with the bacteria. Symptoms will generally appear between 3 and 70 days after infection. Symptoms of Listeria poisoning include fever, nausea, diarrhea, headache, stiff neck, and muscle aches.
